RTC™ Introduces Pepsi Phones at CES Press Conference

We would like to welcome all of you to this news conference, which has been called to announce our latest agreement with PepsiCo as well as bring you up to date on our new and exciting line of products.

This past October '98, RTCTM and PepsiCo entered into an agreement to create, manufacture, and design Pepsi Cola and Mountain Dew telephones. Initially, we will manufacture the Pepsi and Diet Pepsi telephones, which will be designed as you can see here today, to look identical to the Pepsi Cola cans currently sold in the United States. Production is currently underway.

The Pepsi-Tel will retail at $39.95 and be available in February 1999. It will be FCC and ETL approved. This means that this telephone will be scrutinized not only as required by law under FCC regulations, but also voluntarily for higher standards by ETL.

For consumer convenience, the Pepsi-Tel will be fully modular which means that all cords can be unplugged and changed to suit individual needs. There is a possibility of changing the Pepsi-Tel from Tone dialing to Pulse by moving a switch. This is convenient for areas that do not have Tone dialing. All RTC telephones are Hearing-Aid compatible and have a last number redial button.

The Pepsi-Tel is the result of an agreement between RTC and PepsiCo which will lead both companies into a more prosperous and successful future. PepsiCo has long been one of the most popular and enterprising firms in the United States. From its formation in 1965, PepsiCo has spearheaded the beverage, snack, and until just last year, restaurant industries. PepsiCo, which in 1998, celebrated the 100th anniversary of its most popular product and namesake, the Pepsi soft drink, has grown into one of the largest consumer product organizations in the United States, with 1997 revenues of nearly $21 billion and approximately 140,000 employees. PepsiCo has pioneered new items and ideas in the industry: the first company to introduce the two-liter bottle, and to market a consumer product in Russia, PepsiCo has grown and flourished over the years, and maintained a very positive image in our society. PepsiCo's commitment to the environment and to the young students of America Ð epitomized by PepsiCo's Chairman and CEO Roger A. Enrico, who donated his salary in 1998 to provide educational scholarships Ð resulted in PepsiCo being named as the most popular stock for 1998 in the NAIC's annual top 100 stock survey. Through combinations with companies like RTC, to produce quality products such as the Pepsi-Tel, PepsiCo will surely continue to be one of the most successful consumer product companies Ð as its popular new slogan suggests, PepsiCo hopes to head the "Generation Next" of consumer products.

RTC also looks to the Pepsi-Tel to head its Next Generation of successful consumer products. Ronsonic Trading Corp. was founded 17 years ago, in 1982, and since then has been the pioneer in novelty electronics. RTC was the first company to introduce many of the novelty items we are quite familiar with today, such as telephones in the shape of upscale cars, and introduced many new promotional items into the market. RTC has in the past generated many successful items. Some resounding successes include the popular Helicopter Phone, a phone in the shape of a helicopter; and the Violin Phone, which were featured in most of the major mail-order catalogs in the United States, as well as in several international catalogs. RTC has in the past teamed up with several major firms to produce novelty items which have electrified the marketplace. RTC has created products with licenses from Anheuser-Busch and Miller, such as the Budweiser and Miller Can Phones, both of which have enjoyed tremendous success; it has also marketed the popular Budweiser Speed Boat Phone and the Bud-One Air Ship (Blimp) Phone.

Today, RTC remains the leader and innovator in the field of novelty electronics. Along with the new Pepsi-Tel, RTC is pleased to announce several of its newest products. The Ron-415, the Fancy Neon Clock, is available in several bright neon colors, has a clear, easily-readable neon face, an optional light switch, and is well-suited for home, shop, or office decoration. The Ron-905 Travel Hamburger Alarm Clock has an alarm and a built-in snooze button, and its small size makes it the ideal traveling companion for those traveling for business or pleasure. The Ron-2022, a Mug-Shaped Pen holder with Clock, is one of a set of three desk organizers with clocks. This handy gadget holds pens, pencils, scotch tape, and paper clips, can be imprinted with a company name and logo, and is available in several eye-catching colors. The Ron-2029 through Ron-2031 series of executive stationary items include the popular "Nose-Job," which serves both as an eyeglasses holder and as a paperweight, and the "Card Man" and "Memo Man" stationary holders. All of these items are expected to be hot items in 1999 and beyond.

RTC has not only pioneered the novelty electronics industry in terms of the items it sells, but also in the quality and satisfaction it guarantees for its customers. RTC products have always been on the cutting edge of technology, and appeal to a large segment of the market. The features of the products, such as being Hearing-Aid compatible, have made them accessible to more consumers, and features such as a redial button and a lighted keypad, among others, have made RTC products very popular for their practicality as well as their aesthetic appearance. All phones and clocks are backed by RTC's TWO-YEAR Warranty. As far as we know, RTC is the only electronics company to offer a TWO-YEAR warranty, as opposed to the shorter industry standards of 90 days or one year. This warranty guarantees the quality and satisfaction that consumers expect today, and underscores the fact that RTC's items are not only fun to look at and fun to use, but have a usefulness and longevity which ensure their success as novelty items.

RTC expects that the Pepsi-Tel, along with its other hot new items, will result in a fun, fast-paced, and exciting new year in 1999. Ronsonic Trading Corp. would like to wish all of you the best of luck in all of your endeavors, and would like to invite all of you to partake in the excitement as the Pepsi-Tel kicks off an eye-catching new line of novelty electronics.
